112. William Hill⁶ GOODLOE (David Short⁷, Robert⁸, George⁹, Henry¹⁰, George¹¹ GUDLOE, Thomas¹² GOODLOWE)⁽¹⁷⁷⁾ was born in Granville County, NC, August 3, 1804. He died September 6, 1834 in Mt. Pleasant, Maury County, TN, at 30 years of age. His tombstone can be found in their abandoned Family Cemetery on the old Williams farm on US 43 south of Mt. Pleasant.

He married Emily Elizabeth WILLIAMS September 8, 1828. She was born June 22, 1814. Emily⁽¹⁷⁸⁾ was the daughter of Greenberry WILLIAMS and Susan TANNER. She died January 4, 1837 in Mt. Pleasant, Maury County, TN, at 22 years of age. Her tombstone is next to her husband's in the Family Cemetery in Maury County, TN.

William farmed in Maury County, TN, until his death.

William Hill GOODLOE and Emily Elizabeth WILLIAMS had the following children:

113 i. David Greenberry⁵ GOODLOE was born, April 28, 1831. He died January 5, 1864 in the 'dreary prison hospital' of a Yankee prisoner of war camp in Alton, Madison County, IL, at 32 years of age.

+ 39 ii. Albert Theodore GOODLOE M.D. was born June 23, 1833.
